The project site is located in the central position of the "Canal Islet" in Pavillons-sous-Bois. It is part of the urban renewal of this part of the city, which does not benefit from a qualitatively landscaped setting and an optimal orientation in relation to the course of the sun.
It is bordered to the south-east by the Ourcq Canal, with a pedestrian and cycle route running alongside, to the north-east and south-west by two pedestrian paths, and to the north-west by the new road serving the district.
We designed our project to create an urban front along the new road and to offer a maximum number of views from the heart of the block over the canal using the natural slope of the land. The buildings of limited height R+2 and R+3, which preserve the domestic scale of the core area, face towards the quays. The balconies are mainly oriented towards the south and the canal as an extension of the living rooms.
The materials chosen to mark the base and the boxes on the facade are natural and perennial materials: black brick and pre-patinated wood. Gas heating for the collectives. Water recovery system for watering.
