Replacing a historic building destroyed by fire, this new three-storey retail building evokes the memory of its predecessor using a perforated stainless steel screen. With apertures cut to create the illusion of the former façade, this
unique design evokes a vision of the past while granting tenants additional natural light.
Client Hullmark Developments ultimately chose to locate their offices in the building and also selected Quadrangle for the interior design of their new space.
619 Queen received an Award of Merit in 2017 at the City of Toronto Urban Design Awards.
