The project is located in the future eco-district "l'île aux jardins" in Hœnheim, and is part of a global urban project. It comprises 2 parallel buildings of three levels to which is added an attic level. The complex presents a simple and compact volumetry in response to the search for energy performance. This compactness also makes it possible to create pedestrian and bicycle paths in the heart of the block, as well as private gardens for the ground-floor dwellings.
Various communal green spaces guarantee access to nature for residents and all the dwellings are extended by large balconies, terraces or loggias. From the street, the project appears coherent and urban due to the alignment of the buildings' façades on the street and the dialogue between the buildings, by their proportions but also by their vocabulary.
By the orientation of the buildings, the regulations but also by the environment, the façades to the east and north respond to the urban environment and are treated with thin white plaster, only the hollows and attics are punctually underlined with facing brick or coloured plaster. This makes it possible to play on the depth by different treatments according to the plans, either clear in the foreground or coloured in the background.
