A condominium building located on the corner of Canal Street and the West Side Highway that recalls Tribeca’s industrial past with its rigorous, warehouse-inspired facade. Designed in collaboration with Aldo Andreoli, each of the building’s 13 units feature protected views out toward the Hudson through floor-to-ceiling factory sash windows framed in metal channels that intersect to form “i-beam” profiles, further evoking the industrial character of the district. The lower volume is almost a perfect cube while the upper volume is setback to create private terraces for two duplex units. At the top of the building, a full-floor penthouse features a large projecting bay that gives the building a distinct presence on Manhattan’s West Side.
