A contemporary building architectural envelope, that can be best described as “distinctive” yet not “iconic”.
The building, through appropriate application of elevation, provides users with best possible enjoyment of the views afforded of the surrounding areas and provide for an appropriate level of ‘presence’ to the building.
The facades are glazed to maximize views and treated with appropriate performance glass and additional shading/sun screening as required.
The glazed facades incorporate some architectural elements, possibly of alternative materials that serve to create interest in the façade but do not impact on the efficiency of the floor plate through the introduction of redundant decorative elements.
The architectural design must ensure that the building is future proofed against adjacent developments in terms of maintaining views and light into the building.
