ultralocal architectes is an architecture studio based in Québec City that advocates for architecture that cares, attentive to people, place, and territory. Founded in 2020 by Véronique Barras-Fugère and Alexis Ruelland, the practice is deeply grounded in real-world contexts, working in close connection with those who inhabit, transform, and build the constructed landscape. Each project is approached as an opportunity to care for existing environments and the people who occupy them, through a sensitive, rigorous, and engaged design process.
