StudioAR is an award winning architecture and creativity consultancy based in the City of London. The Studio works both within, on, and outside the boundaries of traditional architectural practice. The studio founded in 2011 by Alex Scott-Whitby and Rory Pennant-Rea won 1st prize winning RIBA Forgotten spaces competition in 2011 for its project (IN)spires, a live project to turn 38 of the 51 church spires in the City of London into low rent studio spaces for young emerging artists. The studio uses its collaborative approach to solve briefs that it is given or ones that it believes need exploring. The studios work ranges from the hypothetical to the very real, from projects that last for just a couple of hours to ones that will take 30 years to complete. Recent successful projects range from a masterplan and resolution of a listed estate in Greece, to London's longest table. The studio is currently working on a library in Malawi, a hotel in Bermondsey, and a number of private residences in London.
