Studio Verve Architects is a London-based design-led practice founded
by Vivian Chan in 2009, supported by a team specialising in architecture and
interior design.
Having worked for more than a decade in Asia and UK for practices
like Foster + Partners and David Morley Architects, Vivian set up the
studio as a direct channel to engage clients and realise good designs in
projects big or small.
At Studio Verve Architects, we are enthusiastic about designing for
the everyday and the extraordinary. We have worked on new builds in
green-field sites, as well as listed and conservation buildings in
central London. Our current portfolio includes a contemporary ‘near
Passive-haus standard’ sustainable farmhouse in the green belt of
Ormskirk, luxury warehouse conversion apartments in Clerkenwell and
Dalston amongst a few other bespoke residential and commercial projects.
We have recently completed a project in a Grade-II listed house in
Hampstead, a new cafe in Spitalfields and a duplex in Islington.
Our designs are contemporary and founded on a keen awareness for
sustainability, careful engagement with both the client's requirements
and sensitivity to the site. We are excited about the discovery of new
materials and new ways of putting things together; we also strive to
work with artists and craft men to achieve a seamless product.
We believe the process is as important as the product; we strive
towards a happy and inspiring working environment both as an office and
with our clients.
