Spine Architects is an office for holistic and diverse architectural solutions. The office was founded in 2001 by Jörn Hadzik, Jan Löhrs and Neil Winstanley in Hamburg. Associated partners are Elena Wunderlich, Michel Eser and Steffen Bösenberg. Together with our team, we manage projects in all service phases.
We are open to a wide range of project sizes and tasks, which we approach with passion, openness and curiosity. Depending on the project requirements, we use tried and tested methods or rely on innovative solutions, such as the possibilities of modern, multi-storey timber construction.
We combine the determining aspects of location, space, function, construction, material and, last but not least, social interaction into a coherent whole. We are particularly interested in the space-forming plasticity to be developed from this - and for this. Our claim and goal is to work out the core of each project and to develop inspiring concepts for lasting good architecture.
We are convinced that this is best achieved in dialogue with clients, users, authorities and specialist engineers, and with respect for the respective neighbourhood and social concerns.
For us, a project is successful not only when it is aesthetically, functionally, economically and technically coherent, but above all when it is accepted by the users and integrated into their life story.
