Based in Winnipeg, psastudio is recognized for urban design, architecture, and building research. Seeking to establish a community dialogue on low-impact, socially rich places for living, psastudio sees architecture as an investment in community identity. The design team advocates for healthy, social ecologies, and actively investigates new methods of construction for low-cost infrastructure in public facilities, with a particular focus on the use of reclaimed shipping containers.
The studio is a teaching environment for graduates and interns. An open studio forms the foundation to the development of ideas, projects, and practice decisions. With a portfolio of public sector work across Manitoba, psastudio's clients include local school divisions, the University of Winnipeg, Winnipeg Harvest, the Towns of Swan River and Gillam, and private residential and commercial clients.
psastudio is the recent recipient of a RAIC National Urban Design Award, AZ People’s Choice Award, Prairie Design Award of Excellence, Prairie Wood Design Award, and Canadian Architect Award of Merit.
