PARA Project is an office for architecture based in New York City.
We see each project as a collaborative effort between a wide range of constituents, guided by the specific needs and curiosities of diverse clientele.
PARA works on projects of varying scales and media: from commercial, institutional, and residential work, to events and international competitions.
PARA is recipient of the New Practices New York award from the American Institute of Architects, the Design Vanguard award from Architectural Record; the Young Architects Award from the Architectural League of New York; was a finalist for the MoMA/P.S.1 Young Architects Program — exhibiting the proposal at the Museum of Modern Art; placed 1st in the Open Fort competition (together with WORKac, L.E.FT, PHO, and HWKN); and was recently awarded the design contract through invited competition for Syracuse University’s School of Education. The work has been published in the New York Times, the LA Times, Architectural Record, Metropolis, the Architect’s Newspaper, Form, IW, Interior Design, Frame, Perspective, Surface, 306090, Exclama!, and in books “American City X (forthcoming 2014), by Princeton Architectural Press; “Shopping Now,” by Taschen (2010); PROOF, by Princeton Architectural Press (2008); and “How Architecture Learned to Speculate” (2009).
