Atelier Palimpsest(变余构造), founded in Shenzhen, January 2021 by the architect Zongjie Kou, aims to examine space from anthropology and build a new artificial surface based on humanities and technology. Kou graduated from the University of Sheffield (RIBA Part2) and Chongqing University.
Kou has practiced in London, Toronto, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Shenzhen. His works have been selected in Tianzuo Cup, Hakka Cup, Young Architect Competition, Kaizhou New City International Architect Design Competition, West Sichuan Linpan Architectural Design Update Competition, Luhu Public Chair Design Competition, Chengdu Jincheng Park Architectural Design Competition, the 5th Shenzhen Public Sculpture Exhibition, the 8th Shenzhen-Hong Kong Architecture Biennale, etc. Kou served as a tutor for the Creative Design Week of Tongji University and a guest commentary tutor at Shenzhen University.
