The architectural partnership of Min | Day, established in 2003, spans offices in San Francisco, California, and Omaha, Nebraska. Capitalizing on these divergent locations, Min | Day is founded on a recognition of the ever-increasing complexity of the American landscape. The practice draws on the principals’ backgrounds in art, landscape and building design to provide informed and flexible design that serves a wide variety of clients from individuals to art institutions, urban to rural sites,
and projects ranging from furniture to large buildings. Our committed exploration of the characteristics of client, site and program produces nuanced projects of specificity and originality. Projects exploit the interplay between material and implied volumes, landscape and building, natural and applied color, and design and fabrication,
shaping places of architectural discipline and sheer pleasure. The widely published work of the office has garnered numerous AIA awards, including the
2007 AIA California Council Emerging Talent award, the 2009 New Practices San Francisco award, California Home & Design’s Ten to Watch in 2009, Residential Architect’s 2010 Rising Star Award and Architectural Record Magazine’s prestigious 2009 Design Vanguard feature.
