marc benjamin drewes ARCHITEKTUREN is a Berlin based architecture studio founded in 2012.
In its architecture the studio is incorporating both traditional and modern approaches towards space material and atmosphere. We are searching contemporary solutions that are based in history and will persist in the future. At the same time we believe in an architecture without recipe. We are developing specific answers to a given context and program.
The architecture created by the studio has been awarded with the best architects label 2015 (gold label) and 2017. In 2014 it has received the Heinze Architekten Award and the Iconic Award.
We were shortlisted for the advancement award by the architekturgalerie am weißenhof in 2010, as an Emerging Interior Practice of the Year within the WIN Awards 2015 and for the DEUBAU-Preis 2016.
After his studies at RWTH Aachen, Germany and TU Delft, The Netherlands and before founding his own practice Marc Benjamin Drewes was project leader at e2a eckert eckert Architekten in Zurich, Switzerland (Heinrich Böll Stiftung, Berlin) and raumzeit Architekten (covered car park and pedestrian bridge Deggendorf) in Berlin. During his studies he was assistant designer at MVRDV, Rotterdam.
Since September 2011 he holds a teaching position at the chair of design and construction of Prof. Donatella Fioretti at TU Berlin.
