Mauricio Alonso, is a Mexican architect whose history is based on the creation and innovation of a change in the history of architecture. He studied and lived for 12 years in Guadalajara Jal and now resides in the city of San Miguel de Allende, which helps him understand the needs of a citizenry hungry for new lines, but also for the love of this, for its Colonial architectural pieces. In this way, he came to the conclusion that design is his passion.
Graduated in 2003 from ITESO of Guadalajara. Subsequently, he completed a Master's Degree in Interior Architecture at the Anahuac University of Querétaro. In 2005 he founded his first office in Jalisco. From this moment until now, several residential and commercial projects in his portfolio have projected him to where he is.
In 2014 he settled in San Miguel de Allende and from there, his studio began to be called m arquitectura.
In 2016 he finished his first hotel on Hernandez Macias street, he catapulted himself by doing several important projects, both commercial and residential.
In 2017, the design and construction of a new hotel began on Calle de los Insurgentes.
In 2019 he participates in the National Architecture Biennial with 4 projects.
In 2020 he is summoned by the division of art, architecture and design to give a conference within the emprende congress.
In 2021 nominated for work of the year on the Archdaily platform with the work; Cheese Moon. Published in books as in the of; San Miguel Encuentro y Encanto, or in El libro de Arquitectos de México for his work, like this. Over the years, he has gained recognition from various print and digital media for his career.
In 2022 he is a professor of the master's degree in interior architecture at the Anahuac University.
