Robert Konieczny KWK PROMES is an international architectural practice founded by Robert Konieczny, a foreign member of the French Académie d’Architecture and an honorary member of the Association of Architects of the Czech Republic.
KWK PROMES is the recipient of numerous competition prizes and awards. The PLATO Contemporary Art Gallery in Ostrava was selected as one of the five Best Buildings in Europe in the EU Mies van der Rohe Awards 2024. In total, the studio has been nominated for this prestigious award fourteen times. Konieczny’s Ark, the architect’s own house, received the title of Best New Private House in the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2017. The Przełomy Dialogue Centre museum in Szczecin won the title of World Building of the Year 2016 at the World Architecture Festival in Berlin, as well as the European Prize for Urban Public Space 2016 awarded by the CCCB in Barcelona.
Currently, the studio’s work is increasingly focused on seeking architectural solutions that adapt to inevitable climate change and the challenges associated with it.
