BFV ARCHITECTES
BFV Architectes is an architecture studio funded by Jean Bocabeille, Olivier Fassio and Jean-Brice Viaud. This acronym stands for more than 20 years of experience. It embodies both a historical continuity and a strong desire to grow together and broaden the scope of action. The idea of creating a new practice was obvious to the three men, as much as their will to keep building a consistent, efficient and meaningful kind of architecture. Bocabeille, Fassio and Viaud’s projects have been carried out either as collective journeys ([BP] Architectures, Plan01 or Fassio-Viaud Architectes) or individual adventures (Jean Bocabeille Architecte). The three architects share a contemporary and excessive approach of architecture and always provide innovating solutions that combine aesthetics and materiality.Let’s point out some of their projects : Pulse, a noteworthy wooden-structure office building in Saint-Denis, recently completed ; a mixed program including a theater, a school and social housing in the ZAC Seine Rive Gauche, nominated for the Equerre d’Argent prize in 2012 ; a mixed program including social housing, private dwellings and a cultural center in the ZAC Paris Batignolles, winner of the WAN AWARDS prize in the “Mixed Use” category ; a notable energy-plus office building in Pantin, nominated as well for the Equerre d’Argent in 2014 ; the Elsa Triolet public library in Saint-Denis, and even the Biscornet apartment building on the Place de la Bastille. 43 private dwellings in Nanterre (2019), a 10500sqm office building in wooden structure in Villeurbanne (2021) and 430 high standard dwellings on the river side of Suresnes will be added shortly to the list of projects completed by the new studio.
