The group
was founded in Rome as a free relationship of architects joining
several knowledges, from 2008 the active partners are Gianluca Evels and Stefania
Papitto. We measure us from urban and landscape design until interior design
and restoration, in a process that involves specific competences, always
respecting the environmental
characteristics. Our approach to any
project is to involve all parties in a creative collaboration to define the
objectives of the project with a balanced combination within critical readings
of the local context and the "outsider" perspective of us. Urban
quality doesn't depend only on single architectural objects' nature, but also
on the relationships between the objects and
the context. Therefore the real theme is how the site and the rest of
the city or the context can change according to that intervention, it's always
a renewed and re-invented connective system, that uses existing references and
new ones. The work on pre-existent spaces and the interior design projects try
to explain all the available elements in a new synthesis: the traces of the
history of the building, the expectations of the client, psycho-sensorial
aspects of the architecture united in a continuous spatial and visual tale.
According
to the "modern lesson" and some contemporary modus operandi,
according to whether concept, sign, function and technology are a coherent
synthesis. It seems necessary to be able to cross scales in different ways, not
only from general to particular, but also in an opposite sense, in order to
find a new and flexible hierarchy of choices for an alternative new architectural
view.
We also
dedicate to further activities, like some different experiences at the university of Rome or taking part at some
international workshops, with the aim to be active in the debate about
contemporary architecture. The office attend to building energy consulting both
for new construction and for renewal of existing building. Arch. Papitto is
certified as ClimateHouse-Expert-Planner for ClimateHouse Agency in Bozen.
