A contradictory condition - free migration of thought along with increased re- strictions on immigration across borders - this is the zone in which we operate as Diverse Projects. We are neither “Mexican-“ nor “American-“, but both Mex- ican and American; we are not New York City-based, nor Mexico City-based, but working in both simultaneously. In grammatical terms we unapologetically occupy the space of the hyphen (-) and the diagonal (/), spaces of duality where otherness is the norm and where boundary lines, nearly blurred to disintegra- tion, nevertheless remain.
