Tamarack Farms is a 390 acre working farm in Northumberland County, Ontario, founded on are rehabilitated land that has been fallow for more than half a century. Essential to the farm’s philosophy is a deep and uncompromising respect for the land and the treatment of animals. Every aspect of the farm reflects this commitment to responsible and ethical stewardship. Tamarack Farms follows a traditional mixed farming model, respecting the inter-relationship between raising livestock on pasture, growing heirloom produce, herbs and edible flowers, and making maple syrup in our old growth woodlots, and respecting wetlands. The farm provides food to various fine restaurants in Prince Edward County and Toronto.
Tamarack Farms guesthouse is situated on top a natural drumlin and gives way to panoramic views of the Northumberland landscape. The guesthouse provides an authentic agrarian experience for visitors with provisions directly from the farm. The horizontal lines of the guesthouse extend the visitor’s view outwardly. The house is connected directly with the landscape; with rooms accessing the grounds. The arrival courtyard and surrounding exterior spaces give you a feeling of an old English farmhouse, with all the features you would expect culinary-wise and experientially.
