Carroccera is a new movement of artists, architects and scientists that forge new ideas for living.
Our mental health and the health of the planet is rapidly deteriorating, at an exponential rate. We humans have created tools and systems to provide us supposed safety and comfort, systems that distance us from our primal environment, leading to the abuse of its resources and neglect of its well-being.
In order to reconnect with our natural systems and live in balance with them, as a part of a larger ecosystem, we propose to radically reimagine and redesign the way we live today by the means of:
- Restoring and enhancing biodiversity
- Regenerating abandoned and neglected plots of land, challenging broken systems of land management
- Rebuilding and experimenting with new ways to interact and inhabit the land
- Inspiring and sharing the resulting experiences and research with a diverse audience to challenge our ways of living and the nature-culture divide
Our current team consists of five architect-designers: Gianfrancesco Brivio Sforza, Dariia Nepop, Nacha Palomeque Coll, Angelica Rimoldi and Caspar Schols.
