BluPath Design, an architecture and design firm founded in 2003 by Laura A. Blau, and Paul A. Thompson, works closely with clients to design simple, elegant and environmentally sensitive spaces. We believe that beauty is fundamental to sustainable design.We design for the renovation and rehabilitation of existing structures as well as design projects from the ground up. BluPath's professional services include architectural design, masterplanning, feasibility studies, space-planning, furniture services, interior design, construction documentation, construction administration, and custom furniture and lighting design.Our clients are concentrated in three areas; university and non-profit, mission-driven institutions, and private residential clients. We have extensive experience working in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York, and Providence, Rhode Island.Both BluPath Design principals are LEED Accredited Professionals, and Laura Blau recently became a certified Passive House consultant.Our design process begins with listening to our clients, and asking careful questions to better understand their needs. We then translate that information into designs of comfortable, functional places that engage the senses.
