// With a common desire to promote contemporary, coherent and contextual architecture, the studio, composed of a dozen architects and collaborators, is headed by architects Marc Lacour and Sabine Leribaux.
// Sites and functions developed are varied (public buildings, offices, housing, hotels, …).
// The studio’s approach is based on two intertwining priorities : on the one hand, developing quality relationships between each actor involved in the construction process (client, city council, architects, engineers, experts, contractors,…) and on the other hand, integrating the expertise of each actor taken separately. The pertinence and inventiveness of the men and women participating, and the close-knit dialogue between them, allow the emergence of creative architecture, without pre-conception of the way things should look or function.
// Since 2008 half of our planet’s inhabitants live in an urban context, none holds the key to a credible, long-term, qualitative …and quantitative solution to this inevitable dilemma .
// And yet, reflection upon these givens must lead to their de facto integration into our philosophies…
… every urban project is the equivalent of a quest, in which architects and city planners, each on their own scale and field, work hand in hand. A city is a collective effort which is borne of our desire to live together in mutual respect. This effort begs for rules and regulations, and whether good or bad, they inexorably remind us of men and women’s innate capacity to create. However, incoherence and instant gratification are still too often the spoils of urban development; thus, any and all urban responses must be consigned in a concerted, collective and long-term effort to maintain quality (of life), all the while respecting our environment.
