archimania designed the world’s first two dual certified Zero Energy and Zero Carbon buildings by the International Living Future Institute. Our commitment to net-zero has garnered recognition by the Metropolis Magazine Planet Positive Awards, The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies Green GOOD DESIGN® Awards, the Global Design News and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design Future House Awards, and the Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards. As an AIA Richard Upjohn Research Initiative recipient, archimania led new research on a Carbon Neutral Corridor model for reimagining aging commercial and residential corridors into locally authentic, resilient, equitable and inclusive solutions to rising energy use and carbon emissions. archimania led the recent updates to the City of Memphis’ Design Directive for the Built Environment, a nationally recognized framework promoting health, equity, sustainability, and resilience in municipal design.
