1,000 Trees is a standout mixed-use development in Shanghai, designed to look like two forest-topped mountains at the city’s waterfront.

Set on a 15-acre site close to the M50 art district and a park, this special project brings together nature, business and wellness. It turns a former industrial spot into an exciting place with 166 shops, 63 food and drink spots and new areas for the public, covering over 38,000 square meters.

This area is filled with more than 1,000 trees and 250,000 plants, making a green micro-climate and greatly improving the area’s natural diversity. The building’s southern side is also a display of street art by sixteen artists from around the world, adding an artistic touch that links to the nearby M50 art district.
