To kick off our summer fun product series, we recently showcased our favorite recent projects and site furnishings geared toward public spaces and amenities. Now we’re focusing on some of the best new introductions — and a few old ones — for outdoor entertaining at home, from a freestanding hammock to charcoal grills.

Blu Dot: Hot Mesh Lounge Chair
This lounge version of the American company’s Hot Mesh chair features a generous 28-inch-wide seat, a lower 14-inch seat height and just enough recline in the backrest. Inspired by handwoven rattan, it sports a graphic geometric pattern rendered instead in powder-coated steel, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The chair is stackable and comes in six fresh colors.

Boffi: AH16 Barbecue
The streamlined outdoor kitchen offers plenty of open shelving with two stainless-steel blocks with hinged lids: One conceals a cooktop, while the other holds a prep sink. The cooking zone can be specified with a barbecue grill, Teppanyaki griddle or induction top. The worktops and shelves are also available in solid wood.

Casamania: Alplus Table
This refined take on the picnic-style dining table features a slatted-teak top mounted onto a pressure-fused aluminum, four-leg base painted white or black. Measuring 90 centimeters deep by 75.5 high, it comes in several lengths ranging from 120 to 240 centimeters.

Coyote Outdoor: Asado Smoker
Charcoal grill masters with a penchant for design rejoice: Asado Smoker boasts a sleek, eggcup-like silhouette in heat-resistant dappled ceramic and smokes, bakes, sears or grills simply without requiring additional accessories. It provides 254 square inches of cooking surface and has an adjustable venting system. Optional side shelves fold up to become instant worktops.

Dedon: Swingrest Series
An oldie but a goodie, the Swingrest series consists of the SwingMe lounge, SwingUs two-seater and the generous Hanging Lounger, all cushioned for comfort and optionally draped with a privacy/shade canopy. The Hanging Lounger, which measures 193 centimeters wide by 196 deep, offers an optional integrated side table.

EGO Paris: Hive
Taking cues from a honeycomb structure, the Hive collection is a series of lounge and sofa seating, table, ottoman and tray elements that are based off of hexagons and can be mixed and matched into numerous configurations. The seating bases are constructed with lacquered aluminum frames (in 22 colors) and Batyline mesh, while seat cushions and comfort bolsters and pillows come in a choice of Sunbrella outdoor fabric, vinyl, waterproof fabric, Missoni Home fabric or Maria Flora fabric.

Eldorado Stone: Lyra
Added to the company’s Artisan Fire Bowls collection, Lyra boasts a long, monolithic concrete design with a gently sloped inset fire pit for an overall modern look. The piece measures 24 inches deep by 15 high, comes in two lengths — 42 or 60 inches — and in Black Sand, Aged Teak, Oak Barrel or Oyster Shell tints with honed or travertine finish. A 65,000-BTU gas burner and the black lava rock are included.

Höfats: Sphere
This eye-catching perfect sphere of a charcoal grill is well suited to the minimalist and modernist patio or terrace — and is reportedly the only sphere design that effectively regulates heat. The grill also boasts an integrated lighting solution and pyrolysis cleaning capability. When not in use for cooking, Sphere can become an outdoor fireplace simply by lifting the coal grid to the upper edge position and adding wood logs.

Knoll: Petal Table
A modern classic dating back to the 1960s, this design by Richard Schultz for Florence Knoll took into account expanding and contracting of materials in changing weather conditions. Hence, the idea for individual petals was born. Organic branch-like brackets supporting each petal make even the underside of the table beautiful. Petals come in white HPDE or natural teak, while the base and stem are powder-coated stainless steel. Models include dining, end and coffee tables.

Proentaris: Sun Lounger Palermo
Specializing in luxury outdoor wooden constructions, Croatian company Proentaris produces more than pergolas, arbors and gazebos. Smaller-scale furnishings include the Sun Lounger Palermo, which is a simple yet elegant undulating slatted form that rests directly on the deck, patio or ground. Its bearing structure is built using glulam, while the slats are fir or spruce wood.

Röshults: Kitchen Island 5 Modules
More handsome than even some indoor kitchens, this outdoor kitchen island is a sleek, minimalist piece with a stainless-steel base and modules in an anthracite finish. Specify and position each module to cater to personal cooking style. The modules include a butcher block, two different gas grills, a prep sink and a three-burner stovetop.
