Now open for entries, Architizer’s A+Firm Awards is a study in superlatives: Awards will be handed to the world’s best architecture firms of all sizes and geographies, as well as the most innovative engineering firms, the highest quality architectural photography and rendering studios, and the best real estate developers. It makes sense, then, that the trophy given to winners is no less than the best itself.
That’s why we’ve collaborated with R.S. Owens — manufacturers of the iconic Oscars statuette — to produce a fresh interpretation of the iconic A+Awards trophy, crafted from stunning, shimmering glass. This bespoke, custom-engraved trophy will be a perfect reflection of our winners’ outstanding design ethos.
Winners in all 32 categories will receive a trophy. Categories range from Best of the Year Awards for firms of varying sizes and geographies, to Specialization Awards for engineers, renderers, landscape architects and real estate developers.
The Typology Awards are dedicated to architecture firms that excel in particular architectural genres, including residential, commercial, commercial, hospitality and humanitarian design. There are also Specialization Awards for studios practicing excellence in sustainability, small projects, public projects and collaborative projects.

What else is in store for winners? Thanks to internationally renowned publisher Phaidon, every winning firm will have their projects published in an all-new, hardbound, full-color compendium dedicated to the world’s best AEC firms. Set for release in 2021, this major publication will celebrate the work of the talented teams that help bring amazing architecture to life — from concept to construction.
Besides the trophy and Phaidon publication, winning firms will see their work celebrated in the form of a year-round digital exhibition, with their projects being published on Architizer Journal, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. With a combined audience of more than 7.5 million, the exposure that awaits A+Firm Award recipients is unparalleled.
