Located in Chenjiagou, the cradle of Chinese Tai Chi Chuan, this iconic modern theater is the perfect blend of mirrored stainless steel and rugged concrete.
Adapting gracefully to the undulating terrain and road network, the structure embraces large areas of grassy slopes on its roof and surroundings, transforming the building into a natural extension of the landscape.
With a capacity to seat 1,200 people, the Tai Chi Theater diverges from traditional theater layouts. Instead of the usual division between audience and performers, it opts for an interactive performance mode that places the stage at the center. This unique design lets the audience become a part of the performance, facilitating an up-close and immersive experience.
