Located in the heart of the Makati Central Business District, this 152.5 meter (500 feet) tower will provide approximately 65,000 square meters (700,000 square feet) of office space and 2,000 square meters (21,500 square feet) of retail area. The building’s fan-shaped form is generated from its siting on a prominent intersection. Typical floors of the tower provide approximately 1,800 square meters (19,300 square feet) of leasable office space. Column-free core-to-glass dimensions allow for interior layout efficiency and flexibility including a raised floor system that permit layout modifications and technology system upgrades.
Glass is the buliding’s primary expressive materia. Low-emissivity coating and ceramic frit patterns drawn from bamboo motifs mediate the interior environment while permitting meximum light penetration. The project will be the first in the Philippines to achieve LEED Gold pre-certification and will be the first green office building in Makati City.
Alfred Huang was the Senior Designer for the project and led the design team through a design process that closely integrated Building Information Modeling (BIM) with fast-track design delivery.
Project is currently under construction, with completion date expected in 2012.
