ZovoNew a project of a piece of forniture for the competition "Trachite un idea in fiera 3"
The design of a piece of furniture in stone and in particular of a seat in this material, immediately suggested me a mnemonic scanning of the models used in urban seat, known to me, or just having tried. The observation of these models has led me to conclude as the shapes and patterns often used in making these objects obey a logic of slave weight of matter, where, when such a post and lintel is not followed, you have solid masses of stone, with no special joints in the vertical development. Is there, in my opinion, a severe aesthetic that weighs more than the function for which it should be designed and that often triggers false calls between the material and a monumental unnecessary, unpleasant to its users. In brainstorming ideation was also important to think about what is over, sit in a bench, focusing especially on what the dynamics of social relations can be established between the users of these supplements in a urban context. Zovo-new from Zovonite (a type of Trachite, volcanic stone used here) , my initial play of words to store the project files in this competition, it has become at the end of my research as a goal-he wants to be my proposal, an object light, modular and articulated space in many different configurations, prompter's dynamic appearance and relationship, again, in all its meanings.
