Zoom’s new London office is a groundbreaking hybrid workspace that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology with flexible, user-focused design. Spanning 18,000 sq ft, the space is divided into two key areas: the state-of-the-art customer Experience Centre (EC) and the versatile employee Engagement Hub.
The EC showcases Zoom’s latest innovations and features the immersive Lens Wall, a dynamic multi-touch LED installation that connects both zones with customisable content, offering a tailored and interactive experience for clients. The Engagement Hub supports diverse workstyles, providing spaces for collaboration, focus, and informal interaction. Additionally, the ‘Boardroom of the Future’ features an 8K LED screen and advanced AV technology, designed for next-generation presentations and hybrid meetings.
Form and function are harmoniously combined through high-end materials like timber, stone, and glass detailing, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and sustainability. The EC’s glass partitions, LED displays, and immersive storytelling elements create a futuristic, interactive atmosphere, while the Engagement Hub is designed for adaptability, allowing for reconfiguration based on employee needs. These elements foster seamless collaboration and engagement for both employees and clients, reflecting Zoom's commitment to a forward-thinking workplace.
Achieving LEED Gold certification, the project prioritises sustainability through energy-efficient systems and eco-friendly materials. A standout feature is the bespoke tapestry created from 3,500 recycled ocean plastic bags, symbolising environmental conservation and social impact. This work, crafted by Nicaraguan artisans in partnership with the Unispace Art for Impact initiative, showcases Zoom’s dedication to global wellbeing and empowering communities.
Zoom’s London space is more than just an office; it’s a model for the future of hybrid workspaces, combining innovation, flexibility, and sustainability. This space enhances user experiences, encourages collaboration, and sets a standard for the modern, tech-driven workplace. The integration of bespoke AV systems, intuitive user interfaces, and interactive digital displays creates a space that is technologically advanced whilst deeply human-centric.
