PARKA developed the concept for ZOLÉ! Cuisine Mexicaine, a new fast food chain in Quebec. Consumption-wise, the company focuses on speed, originality and products quality. The brand design had to be distinctive and dynamic, highlighting at the same time the creation of the enterprise.
To conceive their design, from visual identity to interior design, PARKA’s team was inspired by the festive Mexican universe and the simplicity of contemporary design, to create an atmosphere that is both friendly and comfortable. Brightly coloured elements and detailed prints contrast with the simplicity of the furniture, the materials, the accessories and some graphics. The presence of wood was prioritized to contribute to the warm atmosphere of the place and we used subtly contrasting surprising elements, such as pink colored concrete blocks to give a festive and original touch to the venue. Selected walls were enhance by the presence of colored mural design.
Since the employees cook and make the food in front of the customers, the layout of the restaurants evolved around the counter to prepare and customize the dishes. In the front, seats are available at the heart of a cozy dining room designed both for going out with friends or for a quick dinner. Graphically speaking, the team developed visual identity and advertising materials. A new typography, pictograms, and varied design have been made to highlight the character and the company values.
In order to obtain this balance, the design was conceived in collaboration with the client, graphic designers and architecture professionals. Sharing the same vision, each decision was made taking into account the constraints specific to each discipline. The concept has evolved in this direction, and the project has improved significantly due to this exemplary coordination.
