The villa is situated in a residential neighborhood of Benicassim (Castellón), where vegetation and the sea surrounding it acquire great importance.
The project is designed with the purpose of potentiating the minimalism and the pureness of its volumes.
It all begins with the maximum respect towards the environment around it. The richness of it is fundamental for the implementation of the housing in the plot, all of it looking at the Mediterranean Sea.
The proposal plays with the volumetric connection of both pieces and the projection of the superior box, where the main room is located. In the inferior volume, the diurnal zone of the house is situated through which various longitudinal terraces extend at both sides.
These paving extensions expand the housing towards the outside, creating big spaces. With the aim of enhancing the volumes and terraces, the paving is elevated 20cm above the ground giving a sensation of horizontality.
The main terrace is culminated by the swimming pool, which pretends, through the stone and water, to melt with the navy blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The grand porch that generates the superior volume collects the lateral terrace projected at a different level and finished with a longitudinal bench with the intention of creating the necessary height to complete the environment that surrounds us. The hierarchy of both terraces give rhythm and movement to the principal facade.
The hardness of the exterior skin contrasts with the luminosity and delicacy of the interior. The materials are shown in the most authentic state. The grey natural stone is utilized for the exterior volumes, the white marble for the inside and the wood for the details of the furniture; predominating white and neutral tones.
The design of the exterior lattices invites the owner to control the natural light of the ground and first floor. Furthermore, it provides some lightness and movement to the stone facade.
