An Innovative “Urban Resort” Vision in Central China
Zhengdong MixC is a landmark mixed-use development located at the heart of Zhengzhou’s Central Business District and close to major high-speed rail hubs.
Spanning 241,000 sqm, this project showcases Lead8’s innovative approach to urban architecture and retail design through the concept of an “urban resort” – blending community, commerce, and culture into a vibrant, sustainable urban ecosystem built for the future.
Dynamic Architectural Concept
The retail architecture draws inspiration from Zhengzhou’s rich cultural heritage and the natural flow of the Jinshui River. The development features elegant, staggered “cloud” volumes clad in rose-gold glazed ceramic panels crafted with traditional Chinese glazing techniques, shimmering like the river’s waves. These volumes frame the tower cluster with a minimalist, modern style that balances sophistication and timelessness.
The street-facing façades showcase expansive double-layer glass curtain walls and refined lighting, creating a grand urban presence. A standout multimedia façade at the development’s prominent corner adds dynamic light displays that celebrate local festivals, foster community spirit and enrich urban life for both residents and visitors.

Lead8’s design focuses on a people-centred environment with smooth circulation, sustainability, and strong indoor-outdoor connections. The development offers distinct retail zones from luxury boutiques to lifestyle dining, all designed to create welcoming, human-scaled spaces filled with natural light and greenery.
The aim was to craft spaces that connect deeply with the local community and enhance everyday life. By blending ecological features with well-planned spatial zones, the design creates a vibrant mixed-use destination that nurtures social interaction and wellbeing.
Shaping the Cityscape
Strategically positioned near Dongfeng South Road Metro Station and Zhengzhou East Station, Zhengdong MixC is thoughtfully designed as an all-weather, multi-transport, multi-use urban centre. Lead8’s architectural vision prioritises seamless connectivity across multiple plots, linking them organically through underground corridors and indoor-outdoor sky bridges to create a cohesive urban fabric.
The development’s inviting public spaces, rooftop gardens, and pedestrian pathways bring together people and nature, creating opportunities for open-air leisure and healthy lifestyles in the city’s central area. Balancing timeless culture with forward-thinking urban architecture, Zhengdong MixC stands at the heart of Zhengzhou’s dynamic evolution.
