Washroom at school in remote village of Punjab. The washrooms were to be used by the students. The concern was to fight the concern of dark, dingy, smelly toilets of the school and promote safe and comfortable sanitation facilities for the students
The Location bearing in remote village, continuous power supply is very small. The aim was to design a toilet without the dedicated power requirement .The space is lit by triangular Skylight and ventilators Framed by angular origami roof. Bringing in light in form of a dynamic Painting .The new Washroom block was to sit an throughout the dry.
The ventilation is done by the help of wind energy by the roof ventilators, which work all day and night keeping them with fresh air all the time. The project is a zero energy project .which explores harvesting to sunlight and wind to provide odour free toilet perfect to its context.
