The task: to adapt the industrial complex to public needs, to make from public, industrial shops and sites public spaces in which it would be comfortable to rest and work.
Brief historical digression:
Factory "Zarya" - a garment factory created for the needs of Vladivostok. Zarya was one of the largest industrial enterprises in the Far East.
By the middle of the 2000s, it had come to desolation, turned into a stock with absolutely collapsed infrastructure.
In 2014, the factory has changed the owner and it was decided to create a single public space with cafes, workshops, offices and shops focused on design, craft. Our team (ConcreteJungle + Skameyka architects) was involved in the development of public spaces at the very start of the project, which allowed to participate in the development of the functional concept of the complex, in the development of its business processes.
