Reimagining how engineering students learn
The College of Engineering at Texas A&M University has a dynamic vision of growth—to increase enrollment to 25,000 students by 2025. Part of their goal to reach this target includes building upon the iconic legacy of their engineering program and providing the space necessary to support growth. The Zachry Engineering Education Complex is the solution to both.
Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering needed to create a new student-centric facility without doubling existing space. Through a complete renovation and addition to the 1972 Zachry Engineering Center—already a landmark destination for students and alumni—the College was able to do just that. Flexible laboratories, expandable technological capabilities, hundreds of square feet of glass paneling, and a true dedication to changing the way students learn has created a facility like no other in the country.
