The plan is to take a whole block in the city's core and develop an apartment building that would give the area a high quality urban space. Other factors to take in mind were low cost apartments, commercial spaces and finally the lifestyle of the people living in the area. I proposed two independent buildings for the apartments and connected by bridges with mixed use spaces: "loft" style apartments, commercial spaces and public areas for recreation. In that way we can have an open site on the ground floor with green areas (very important in an area that has no open space parks) and also the connecting bridges allow a private space for the people living in the buildings. Since the two buildings and the bridges work independently the construction could be done by stages without having to wait for the whole project to be done for the families to start living there.
