15,000 s.f. building inserted into the brick shell of an existing
building. The project houses a synagogue, classrooms and offices for IKAR as well as
the offices of the Progressive Jewish Alliance. This project is
organized around a large second floor worship space with clerestory
lighting. Carved out of the solid mass of the building are two entrance
courtyards, which act as outdoor gathering spaces as well as formal
building entries.
