Yellow River Delta International Plaza is a next-generation commercial facility located at the mouth of the Yellow River in Dongying City, China. The program calls for a signature iconic tower of 45 stories containing offices and hotels. The tower rises from a three-story base of shops, restaurants, and lobby functions.
The building base is set parallel with the main roads. Generous setbacks allow for the integration of ample landscaping and public spaces, including a 7,200-square-meter park-like setting that will follow the flowing contours of the buildings. This area will serve as a central feature and connect to a plaza dropoff and fountain defining the corner of the development. Linked through a glass covered path, the areas will be activated by shops and cafes.
The 95,647-square-meter development creates an urban gateway at an important intersection in Dongying, and relates to the adjacent context of a planned mixed-use development.
