Melek Düvenci Architects, founded by architect Melek Düvenci, has designed a special restaurant for Titanic Deluxe Golf Resort Belek as a team and has realized successful architectural and interior design projects in various regions of Turkey and allaround the world. Designed as a Greek tavern, Yamas Restaurant transforms dining into a pleasure by giving the feeling of a historical atmosphere in a lush green nature, surrounded by olive trees and accompanied by a river view.
The design of the project by Melek Düvenci Architects is inspired by Ancient Greek history. It is aimed to make the visitors who will spend time in Yamas Restaurant discover many details from Greek culture and mythology. At the entrance of the building, which is built with natural stones from the region and gives the feeling of a historical ruin, the high arches and columns built of masonry natural stones give the visitors the mystery of entering an ancient structure.
In order to emphasize the reflection effect of Yamas Restaurant, a decorative pool was created by combining the rich landscape with the water element, mostly olive trees. The image reflected in the water with the effect of evening lighting and the warmth of the wicker pendant lighting make the facade even more attractive. While the ancient traces of the natural stone wall continue in the covered bamboo-roofed section with the reception desk and bar, Architect Melek Düvenci has enhanced the ambience of the entrance area with natural wood materials such as bamboo and wicker, stylish amphorae and bohemian wall decorations in the area where a modern aquarium is located to emphasize the fish kitchen.
While the harmony of the two materials is emphasized by using village plaster next to the natural stone walls, the decorative wall created using words from the ancient Greek alphabet such as food, entertainment, Aegean nature, Greek culture and the metal olive tree sculpture, which also has an important place in Greek mythology, next to the dj booth also draws attention to how art reflects the spirit of the spaces. In the project, which emphasizes the harmony of these two materials by using natural stone walls and village plaster together, there is also a decorative wall and a DJ booth in Yamas Restaurant, which is decorated with words of food, entertainment, Aegean nature and Greek culture written in ancient Greek alphabet.
The project also includes a metal sculpture of an olive tree, which has an important place in Greek mythology. These elements come together to show how art reflects the spirit of the spaces. Melek Düvenci Architects took care to use art in the design of Yamas Restaurant, as they have done in their previous projects. In this project, working with many artists, amphoras with mythological characters, olive tree sculpture, abstract humanoid sculptures in stone form on the side walls, giant Greek mythological dancer figures dancing in the river were specially designed.
The tavern is an integral part of Greek culture. For this reason, the most important focal points of the design and layout of Yamas Restaurant are dance, live music and entertainment. In the center is a stage for dancing and plate-breaking performances which is greek tradition and around it is a visible layout for everyone to see, and by the river, in front of the arched walls, different seating areas are created with natural stone sofas. The cast mosaic floor, which serves as a beautiful backdrop to the dark colored solid furniture, was made using light colored stones from the region. Olive trees, the symbol of Greece and the Aegean region, are used in the still decorative pool at the entrance of the venue and in the interior of the restaurant where the seating areas and stage are located, while natural rattan lighting hanging from the trees reinforces the feeling of a bohemian Greek tavern. The pergolas made of solid trees from old houses aim to allow bougainvillea vines to grow and wrap themselves around them.
Yamas Restaurant draws attention as a project that reflects Melek Düvenci Architects' innovative and original design approach by blending art, culture and nature. The Ancient Greek inspirations felt in every detail of the space aims to offer visitors an unforgettable experience. This special restaurant at Titanic Deluxe Golf Resort Belek transforms dining into an art with its aesthetics that appeal to the eye and its atmosphere that nourishes the soul. Yamas Restaurant stands out as a unique venue by combining the warmth of the Aegean and the depth of Greek culture with a modern interpretation.
