The headquarters for XPeng reimagines the contemporary corporate campus as an integrated, highly connected environment for innovation, research, and public engagement.Located in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, the 68,000-square-meter complex accommodates up to 13,000 employees.
The architectural identity is defined by a striking “X”-shaped roof profile, visible from above and embedded into the building’s massing logic. Two courtyard-based office volumes areconnected at the center by a shared sloping roof, forming a unified silhouette that also references XPeng’s brand identity. Height variations respond to contextual constraints: thelower southern wing addresses nearby heliport restrictions, while the taller northern volume rises toward distant mountain ranges. Softened corners and recessed entrances furtherrefine the building’s sculptural presence.
The headquarters integrates offices, R&D facilities, reception areas, exhibition spaces, and testing centers within an eight-story above-ground structure and four basement levels. Anorth–south circulation axis organizes shared amenities—including conference centers, showrooms, testing zones, fitness facilities, and support services—creating a highly efficientand intuitive workplace ecosystem. Extensive vertical and horizontal mobility systems, including elevators, escalators, automated walkways, and outdoor staircases, ensureseamless movement across the campus.
The project transforms the headquarters from a conventional office building into a “super-connector” that bridges industrial research, digital innovation, and public interaction.Photovoltaic roofs, stepped green terraces, and naturally lit underground spaces enhance environmental performance and employee well-being. By combining architecturalexpression, operational efficiency, and urban connectivity, the headquarters establishes a new model for future-oriented corporate workplaces in the era of intelligent mobility.
