Our challenge was to highlight the existing store and add to the space a distinct identity and a renewed character to a brand designed by us back in 2008.
The interior is dominated by wood (on the shelves, on the service counter and on the ceiling) and the pressed cement mortar on the walls. The wooden striped roof abstractly refers to a pergola and emphasizes the presence of the traditional element. Functionally, the design has been developed giving to the needs of the space. The display and promotion shelves of the products are placed around the perimeter of the store, offering the customer the opportunity to directly discover what he is looking for. There is an unobstructed view of the customer to all parts of the space. The imposing presence of the service counter in the middle of the store functions as an extension of the product display. At the same moment, its curved shape that follows the curves of the space gives intensity and movement.
The newly added elements in combination with the crude colors establish harmonious relationships, to emphasize and highlight the organic origin of the products that the store offers.
The exterior is dominated by the impressive light sign that helps to detect store's presence. The materials deliver a balance through the old/new, traditional/modern, natural/artificial relationships. In combination with the above, the transparency of the face communicates with the public and emphasizes the interior of the store.
