The expression of a universal message for the creation of a World War Museum in the panorama of the numerous existing museums in Poland must find its unique interpretation of « the place where everything started ». The brief appeals for an ambitious project tailor made and inspired by the specificity of the scenography and the geographical context. The exhibition spaces will focus on the Second World War in Poland and its message will be orientated on the actual experiences of the civil populations such as losses, hopes, solidarity, frustration, patience, fate, injustice, salvation…; those feelings shall be expressed in a universal narrative setting about the origins and consequences of the war by opposition to a Museum focusing mainly on the historical facts where the view of the civil becomes secondary. To achieve successfully such an experience spatially, the conceptual approach shall take a legible symbolic dimension, letting the visitors make their own interpretation on what they see from outside, whereas inside the exhibited areas the experience is framed in a cinematographic manner.TRUE STORY could be the summary of both what the exhibition is and what the building appeals to.
