Wuud Play; an office space for a plywood manufacturer based out of North Kerala is set amidst their production unit. The architecture of the building pays homage to the regions natural heritage and tropical habitat in a modern format.
The space planning, simple in format emphasis on the various functional aspects of the work space. Guided by functionality, the central passage over arched by a flat roof stretches itself into a pair of sloped roof. The right wing of the space houses the public & semi-public zones such as the lobby, discussion space, dining & kitchen while the left wing houses the admin office and director cabins.
The front façade of the left wing cladded with glass head to toe is designed to provide direct view to the production unit further allowing the managerial team an over view of the truck loads that leave the facility in a day. A petite window also allows the truck drivers to collect passes before leaving the premises.
The crisp layout and design elements even on the interiors provide the space with adequate light and aesthetics prompting a healthy work space adhering to the functional aspects.
