Coworking Space for Creative Professionals
Workpoint is a unique coworking space located in Stamford, CT with a number of special amenities geared towards creative and media professionals. MKDA designed an inspiring and lively work environment with a focus on creative collaboration and fostering spontaneous interaction between different types of individuals. The versatile space has private offices, personal workstations and an abundance of open touchdown space, which functions on an unassigned, first come first served basis. This flexibility, along with the neutral backdrop, allows the space to appeal to a broad range of users.
The first floor takes full advantage of the stunning views of the Long Island Sound with expansive windows and skylights framing the surrounding scenery. There are multiple lounge areas for socialization as well as various meeting tables and workstations for people to choose from depending on their needs.
A staircase leads up to the second floor where there are multiple configurations of conference rooms and breakout zones. Bold pops of blue help differentiate between public and private spaces, which adds an element of excitement against the otherwise neutral color palette.
Amenities for Media Employees
The truly distinctive part of this new build out is the amenities. In order to attract people from the media industry, the space offers a high-tech video production studio. The studio has a modernfold wall, which allows the room to easily transform into a large event space. Additionally, the team included editing facilities and a green room for these users and a fully functional kitchen for preparing meals.
