For the extension of a leader textile factory in Milan outskirts FDG focused on the character of the main, south facing, elevation.
A delicate play of orthogonal geometries: woof (the bearing vertical structure) and warp (the horizontal glass and brickwork cladding) generate effects
of transparencies and lightness that also shade the direct sun rays.
Openness and closeness alternate creating opposite night and day
atmospheres that help the building in gaining depth and consistency.
Technically led austerity and glamorous appearance are joined in the
building’s interiors, while the optimal operators comfort is granted by a
cutting edge technical equipment coupled to an efficient exploitation of
natural cross ventilation and humidity control.
