Located in the northern outskirts of the Paris region, this wooden pavilion takes the shape of an open diamond, acting as a symbolic and physical threshold between spaces. Set within a lush green park surrounded by trees, the structure merges raw materiality with refined geometry. Its envelope, composed of burnt wood cladding over a full timber frame, enables swift on-site assembly and disassembly offering both permanence and ephemerality in tune with the surrounding natural landscape.
Inside, the pavilion features a sculptural spatial sequence. Soft lighting subtly highlights the architectural details from exposed wooden trusses to suspended bulbs that appear to float in the air. The play of light and shadow, filtered through the structure, evokes the experience of walking through a forest canopy.
More than just a shelter, the pavilion is a transformative space that adapts to a variety of uses and encourages new relational and spatial configurations. Its immersive atmosphere invites visitors to slow down, explore, and reconnect with their senses.
