After the first gastronomic project Brasserie Joma, the clients Hansi and Thomas Figlmüller, materialize another project together worth architect Gregor Eichinger
Gregor Eichinger and his team, studied the traditional viennese Wirtshaus culture, until the epoch of barock, and develop a contemporary interpretation of the individual components, wich support the gastronomical concept as its best
Every single piece of interior and furniture is designed especially for the Lugek, for example the chair „for the lady with a handbag“. The room’s back wall consists of enamel plates, a material wich has never been used in this entirely new function.
The city interfuses rough the two story openings of the facade, wooden light stands transmit the guest and lead into the enameled back wall
Stability and atmosphere is sensible.
Arrangement of guests places are lead by the principle of a good view, at the same time this array highlights impression of the existing building.
Vienna is well known for its variety of gastronomical forms as the Kaffeehaus, Heuriger, Beils and Wirtshaus.
Eichinger Offices is keen on finding a „viennese solution“, wich is developed out of the city itself, as well as give kudos to vienna’s historical comforts.
Within the Wirtshaus Lugeck, Gregor Eichinger has again achieved a precise geographical and historical assignment to the district itself, as well as to the gastronomical format of a traditional viennese Wirtshaus.
