Winkley Workshop is a north-facing partial basement project that triumphs against the limitations of its very small site to produce a residence of highly considered, liveable esteem. Though humble to the street, it is from within a light filled and voluminous residence; referential to its setting yet of its own time.

Windows soar at double height and lead the eye to the sky beyond. Floors are set back to visually connect storeys. Ledges are formed as seating, the courtyard an amphitheatre extension of the living room. Stairs punctuate into spaces and offer beautiful patterns and delightful edge details. These measures create moments of excitement and interaction with the property, making it at once entirely useable and enjoyable to experience.
